Soothing landscape and urban prints

Photography has always been my gateway to discovering the extraordinary in life's quiet moments. I feel most serene when composing an image. It’s a mindful practice that reveals beauty in the everyday world around us.

Starting in high school with my parents' Nikon D40 and later using my own hard-earned Nikon D3000, I focused on documenting life’s more carefree moments - family vacations and school trips - while growing up in China and Canada.

Studying abroad during my university years granted me the privilege of traveling through Europe and experiencing life from countless cultural perspectives. Those early morning adventures - slipping out of hostels at dawn with a camera slung over my shoulder to explore the richly historic cobblestone streets of unfamiliar cities, refueling on espresso shots every few hours, and simply getting lost - brought me immense joy. These experiences taught me to see my own life through a traveler’s eyes, finding wonder in the familiar just as I had in those foreign streets.

Back in Toronto, I developed a particular affinity for modern architectural and street photography. I was drawn to clean lines, symmetry, and negative space while wandering my diverse urban settings.

Now I call Denver home. While I occasionally miss the vibrant metropolitan pulse of Toronto, the majestic Colorado mountains and the magnificent National Park system offer endless opportunities for compelling imagery.

When I’m not behind my camera, I’m usually at the office paying bills as a water resources engineer. However, I much prefer climbing outside and spending time with my border collie doodle, Zuko.
